Would you please say a little prayer for my dear 93 year old grandmother, Gertrude? She fell today getting out of my friend Michelle's van and it appears that she has broken her hip. She's at the ER now and we'll know more soon. Please also pray for Michelle, who feels horrible about the whole thing even though there's nothing she could have done to prevent it. Michelle is a wonderful mom of 7 who was driving my grandma home from the senior luncheon at our parish, something I would have been doing usually, but with the new baby I'm not driving much yet. We're all wishing we'd done things differently today...    . Thanks so much.

UPDATE 5/28:
Thank you all so much for your prayers. I just got back from visiting my grandma and she is not doing well. She actually broke her bone just below her hip, so the ball and socket is in tact. She came through the surgery to repair the bone fine last night, but she is in a lot of pain today and is so weak. They want her to get up, but she is 93 years old and is already very weak. She is just skin and bones.

So now my parents are looking at rehab centers and long term care. It's just heartbreaking for them because my grandma has been with them for 26 years! I know my grandma and parents would appreciate any prayers you can offer. Thanks so much!
