Just thought I would let everyone know about a new geography/culture membership website called Panwapahttp://www.panwapa.org/.

It was created by the Sesame workshop. When my kids first asked me about joining, I found it discussed in a United Nations journal. Membership is free, and they do not ask for any personal information beyond your country. They assign you a user name based on your nationality. Everything is designed at a pre-reader level with pictures and read-aloud information.

I haven't explored it too much but from what I've seen my daughter do there was an interactive world map and a treasure hunt. And they can send pre-written messages to other kids that they meet from other countries.

Just passing on the information in case anyone else is interested.
