Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Don't miss this post from Evann and Homeschool Goodies:
Make a simple Paschal Candle
. There are some terrific links. I had never seen Candle Carving Pages -- full of great information and detailed how-to. I also love the graphic to apply to those tall vigil candles. She includes the pictures of the one she made.

I gave Evann a few favorite links on paschal candle that she didn't include.

We've had a great thread in the past, Our Paschal Candle which I've included in the Holy Week Resources Sticky Post.

There are a few more discussions I hope to include later here (I'm having a very slow internet connection) and on the sticky topics. But I just had to share Evann's post before I forgot and the Easter season was over.

I saw those directions for the carved candles a few weeks ago. They are really beautiful! It looks really involved but I think could be done on a more simple scale with amazing results as well.
