Just got a call from Marilyn. She thinks the baby may be coming. She's having very hard contractions, and has been all day today and all of yesterday. She's right around 36 weeks.
She's put a call in to the doctor and was waiting to hear if maybe she'd go in for a non-stress...or straight to L&D to assess (that's my prayer!) Her husband is home now with her!
Shower her and sweet baby Anna with prayers right now - prayers for peace, strength for what lies ahead, and for a safe and healthy delivery if now is the time. If I hear from Abby or from Marilyn, I'll update.
***UPDATE 4:50 pm - central time***
I just heard from Marilyn. Anna's doing great - she's still on the inside.   Marilyn's contractions are pretty strong, and coming every 3 minutes, but the baby is doing fine and so is mom, so the doctor is content to wait this little girl out.
Marilyn is thinking she'll be heading home tonight, but hasn't heard anything certain yet.
So, there's relief that all is well...but with contractions coming so close and so hard it's difficult to discern when to go in.
Help me continue to wrap Marilyn and Anna in prayer for the next couple of weeks.
May Our Lady give Marilyn shelter and protection from all confusion and worry under her mantle, and may Marilyn experience great peace as Anna grows under the watchful care of the Giver of Life.
Good St. Anne, intercede for them both.
