Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I figured I'd try this question here first.
We signed up for the free trial. I put 5th grade ds in 4th grade math, knowing it is not his strong suit. When I completed the assessment his pie chart was very interesting-
we have been doing Singapore math for about a year now. He needed more practice and instruction in math facts. Well, most of his pie in the add/sub facts section is completed, the next highest completion section is multiplication and division, the other pie pieces are pretty small.
I found this interesting because I have read that Singapore takes few concepts and works them a long time. Not many concepts, a little bit, as other math programs. So, this made me feel good that he is getting Singapore and learning.
Now, my question is, I put him in 4th grade math. Does this mean if he tested in 5th grade he would still have a piece of pie for add/sub and mult/div? And it completion would be a smaller section? I guess I am asking if the pie piece for add/sub is mastery overall or just for a 4th grader? I would think as you get up in the curriculum some topics will fall off the pie and new ones appear.
Anyhow, wanted to share my findings and ask that question.
Thanks,
Anne

When a student finishes a grade level and advances to the next one, there is a lot of overlap. When my son went from 3rd to 4th grade, about 2/3 of his new pie was already filled in. Is this the sort of info you are looking for?
