Update again: Thank you for your prayers. Tonight my mother has become unresponsive, and we expect she will very soon - within hours or a day or so, be with the Lord. Please pray especially hard for her soul, for her comfort and peace, for her mother and husband, brother and her grandsons. Thank you.
UPDATE: Ladies - I saw this "bump" a few weeks ago and was grateful. I don't think it was an accident - the Lord knew we needed prayers anew and it was such a blessing to me to read the messages and rest in the prayers of the "bump"! THANK YOU.
Unfortunately, my mother is near the end. She is being cared for at home by hospice and is with my dad all the time. I was able to be with her on Wednesday and am travelling to see her this evening again. She is not expected to make it more than 1 - 3 weeks. Her home care nurse told me that she said (for the first time ever, as she has been a believer - Methodist - but away from formal practice and the church for many years - that she is "waiting for Jesus.")
She is not suffering, but we are all so extremely sad to give her up. My children were very close and she was actively involved in our life up until her sudden recurrence last summer.
Please pray for her and my dad (who is truly devastated - she is 68), and her 95-year-old mother, and my children. Please pray for me that I will help and support all my family in the way they need, and say the right things, do the right things.
This forum means so very much to me - thank you more than you know for these prayers. I will update when the end comes and truly appreciate the love and concern of my sisters here in Christ.
Hello - thank you all for the continued prayers for my son with leukemia Jonathan (doing well), and my mother (recurrent breast cancer).
My mom has had a significant turn for the worse, and I would appreciate prayers for her healing, but also her comfort, peace, and her soul (she is a Christian, but nominally practicing for years - faith has been much shaken by this cancer - not Catholic - I converted as an adult). Please pray for my dad, Lonnie, who is devastated, and my 95-year-old grandmother, also Elsie, who is going through this.
For the doctors caring for her to see the way through, and for my children who love her so much (and me to just help everyone through this the right and best way and handle my own grief well).
Thanks for bearing this cross with me and be assured of my prayers for your intentions as well. This forum to ask for prayer this year has meant everything to me!

Know that I am praying for all of you during this time! I will pray especially that Our Lady would take great care to prepare your mother's soul for her last days in anticipation of a great reunion with Our Lord!
