Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My ds's 3rd and 4th graders, are finishing their Rightstart math books this week and next.

There are a TON of those math workbooky things you find anywhere really. I was wondering if anyone has a special series that they like? Something they use to hold them over until next school year (we start up full force in mid August). I know they just need practice, no new concepts.

Here are some ideas Kacky:

Calculadders (I like the fact it is just 5 minutes a day)

Key to.. series for areas they are weak in (for older students)

Critical Thinking Press - Math Detective - and in fact all of their books are great for summer work - to keep minds ticking over!!! My kids will be working on some of their logic/reasoning/critical thinking books this summer

Lots of Math Games - card games, Muggins, Blokus (I can give you a lot more) - my kids do this a lot and it does not count as math for them

CHC's Catholic Math Activities looks like a possible choice

Somewhere I have document with websites with fun math activities - I will look for it (though it is more time on the computer )

Just to add - often my children will start their new Math programs over the summer - it gives us more flexibility to take time off during the school year.

I use the summer bridge activities books. They "bridge" the summer between grades. They cover, math, handwriting, grammar, writing etc. I also pull them out when I'm sick etc and don't have time or the energy to do our full curriculum.
Here's a link to amazon for them
