Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm basically looking for advice on how to regain my pre-maternal health. I was a collegiate athlete once, perfect size 7... Now I'm 32, I've had 4 rough pregnancies in the past 6 years, I've got 18 pounds that refuse to budge, and I'm very low on energy. I am getting SO frustrated feeling this way, with nothing in my wardrobe to fit me.

Maybe I just need someone to say "EXERCISE AND STOP EATING JUNK!"

I have so little desire (or time) to exercise these days, and I've read so many books on nutrition that I have no idea what is "good" for us to eat anymore. Pep talk, anyone?

stop eating true junk (potato chips, candy, etc) and don't worry so much over the "perfect" diet.

and have you looked at the t-tapp threads? it can be done at home in anywhere from 15-45 min. and maintained for the long run just twice a week.. so really nice when you have a time crunch.

also get outside some whenever you can.. sunshine will help you feel better

also a good multi-vitamin.. pregnancy does use up stores and I found pregnancy #4 was the one that I first felt the effects of that.

B vitamins!!! get a B stress cap. or tablet.
I also like Emergen'C .
Eat COLORS!!! I notice a huge difference when I have a wide variety of fresh fruits and veggies- pineapple, red pepper, carrot, spinach salad, etc.

I've been feeling down this last week - blaming it on new-pregnancy hormones, but really, I think it's due to all the extra Easter sugar (which I think we've talked about before). I keep looking for some "other" reason, but I think it really is the sugar, which is SO unfair - it's time to feast, I should get to enjoy some sweets! Get rid of the candy; drink more water; get outside and get to work in that new garden with your boys. God bless!
