Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We will be in Petaluma CA for a wedding the day before Palm Sunday and we are trying to decide where to go for Mass the next day. Can anyone recommend something? A Latin Mass? An especially beautiful mission or church? An especially homeschool-friendly church? Is it close enough to drive down to Kolbe Academy? Thanks for any tips!

By the way I will only have my 4 girls with me so we should be able to sit through any length of Mass in any size crowd. :-)

Jennie Lou,

I think if I was in Petaluma, I would make the drive to San Rafael to Saint Vincent's home for boys.....or whatever it is called.

We went to mass there last year....on......Palm Sunday!

IT was a beautiful Traditional Latin Mass.....though, very slow. The priest read all of his latin VERY SLOW....and, the gospel for Palm Sunday is VERY LONG.....so, with a reading in both Latin and English......this is a long mass........the littles wiggled A LOT.

But the church is gorgeous and historical......the grounds are beautiful and you HAVE to wander....I THINK Mass was at 12:30pm.........check Mass times

On this blog post here you can see some of it, if you scroll down.

Go here and scroll all the way down to April 4th......and then scroll up and you can see my photos of the church and grounds.

I look forward to returning some day...

Let me know if you cannot find the specifics.

God bless........wish we could go with you! Enjoy the wedding!
