I'm just really at a low point in hope for my marriage. I've read E. Leseur's books, but our stories are too different to compare. My dh was a devout Catholic when I married him; he is now strongly agnostic. I have to "monitor" him with our young children, because he doesn't care if they see movies rated R for violence. He's otherwise a decent dad, but he just really doesn't like ME anymore, doesn't want to spend any time together at all, he's rude, critical, and yells at me a lot (when he's not ignoring me.)
And to everyone else in the world who knows us, this would all come as a surprise, because we hide it all. I was completely convinced that marrying him was what God wanted me to do, but now it all seems like a huge mistake.
Please pray for our marriage. Thank you.

Wow....my first thought was that he obviously doesn't like himself right now and his natural reaction is to take it out on you....What are his stressors and have those increased recently - is there anything you can do to help eliminate or lessen them?
I'm just trying to brainstorm and I hope I haven't overstepped.

I am praying now for strength and wisdom for you and repentance for your husband...I strongly agree that Trustful Surrender might be an excellent book. It has always helped me to accept difficult circumstances in my life as coming from the hand of a loving Father.
