Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am due to have Baby #3 in September. One of my goals for the next six months is to try to prepare for the new arrival as best I can -- i.e., declutter, organize, make menu plans, etc.

For those of you who are very experienced with adding new children into a family . . . what advice can you share for the best ways to use this preparation time? What have you done that was helpful to get life and home in order before the baby's arrival, or what would you do if you had this to do over again?

Thanks for your help!

I only have four but the best thing that I do is make as much food as I possibly can ahead of time. I brown oddles of ground beef and make it up into portions that we would use in food. (Spagetti meat, taco meat ect.)

We have a wonderful Catholic Homeschooling group that makes meals for the first few weeks for us but oh those pre made meals are wonderful.

Congrats and good luck as you prepare for the new little one

God Bless you,
Mimi

Well, my dh and my oldest daughter can manage to cook just about anything we'd need.. so I tend to do the cleaning that no one else ever gets to.. deep cleaning stuff.. if I can get it deep cleaned then it's easier for a time to keep up and it doesn't seem to get as bad when I'm down for a while.
