I'm beginning to research baby carriers because I'd like to wear this next baby more than i did the others. I love the look and idea of the Moby. However, I'm due in May and we spend a lot of time at outside at swim meets during the summer. Will I be miserable with the Moby?

I'm not opposed to making my own so would it be possible to make it a bit "cooler" depending on the fabric I choose? Must it be stretchy fabric?

I had a mesh ring sling (made by a WAHM) that was great for the summer months and I wore it in the shower and the pool all the time. It was like the athletic mesh shirts you see? (not good with fabric types, so not sure how to explain)

I also had a solarveil sling - which was light but the fabric had built in SPF so it protected the baby. I bought that from a WAHM, too. I think I found both on ebay, but you could also try etsy.
