Caution: Whining in this post.
Dh just pointed out to me that this Sunday (March 8) begins Daylight Savings Time. We move our clocks ahead an hour.
Spring Forward
Fall Back
I'm so tired now, I don't know how I'm going to handle this loss of an hour's sleep.

ditto.. worse yet.. we have a dentist appt. on Monday first thing.. 7am.. which means I have to get up earlier than typical in addition to it being an hour earlier.
You know.. just about everyone I know hates it. But they keep making it last longer rather than getting rid of it

The thing that kills me with the time change is that it's dark again in the morning ... but stays light later. So my dear children want to stay up and don't want to get up! ! Yuck!
And by the time we get it all worked out ... it's summer and we're on completely wonky schedules anyway ....

You could all move to Arizona and it becomes a non-issue :)
Well, the only issue I have is never knowing what time it is when I'm calling family in Wisconsin - since part of the year we're one hour different, and then part of the year we're two hours different. I've scared my mother more than once calling her when it's 9PM here, but 11PM there.
I grew up with DST, and haven't missed changing clocks for the last 10 years.

I just LOVE daylight savings time... because the days grow longer and instantly begin to feel spring around the corner. Believe me, with 1 1/2 feet of new snow here, spring sounds good right now. Ladies, why not hop into bed earlier every night this week to fool your bodies and by Saturday you'll all be ready for the time change. LOL

I love more daylight but dislike the temptation to be up later!

That was one of the best things about AZ, Melanie
The sun will stay up later without changing the clocks..

How I wish we could just leave it in one place or the other like the folks in AZ! It does such a number on little ones...and me! I should take Renee's advice and try to get to bed earlier this week!

It makes me quite grumpy. The kids don't do well either for a whole week at least. I really wish they'd get rid of it. As it is the days are getting longer. Why fiddle with it.

(this was the closest I could find to a "sticking out my tongue at you" smilie.)
This will be my first "spring forward" in 20 years! Very weird. Does this mean all the TV shows will stay on at the same time, too?

I did think of you when I posted You'll get used to it, I'm sure -- and nothing really changes time-wise, it's just that first day of pushing the clock forward and the daylight shifting. TV keeps the same schedule :)
Totally off-subject, but did you find a new place? I've been praying for your family.
