I am so sorry to be begging for prayers, but we have a friend in the States who is dying from cancer. We have been following his treatment since he was diagnosed in June 2008. The last report from his wife:

Dan's cancer metasized. It has spread into his bodily fluids. Since Dan is so weak, there is nothing the doctors can do to treat the metasteses. Chemotherapy is the form of treatment that he would need, and he is too ill for another round of Chemo. Radiation can not be used because the cancer is in the bodily fluids.

I do not know all of the details of cancer, but it seems that barring a miracle, the end is near for Dan. I ask you to pray for a peaceful death ... my dh worked with him and he was a tremendous individual with two children and his wife. The family has gathered close by during this time.
