Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have a crochet pattern for a chapel veil? I have been wearing hats to Mass lately, but some of my dresses don't go with any of my hats. I think I could probably crochet a veil cheaper than buying a hat to go with each outfit.

But I don't know how to knit. I thought of using one of my snowflake patterns and just keep adding rows, but then I realized that I want a semicircle instead of a full round. Maybe I'll have to make something up.

That's the one I found! I think, though, that I want something smaller and maybe not as bulky. Maybe that pattern with a smaller yarn? Does knitting change sizes that way like crochet does?

I did get some black crochet thread and some clear sequins to try to work something out with a little bit of sparkle, but I don't really know how I'm going to do it. At least if it turns out ugly, I can always unravel it and make something else.

This is the most beautiful veil I have ever seen! It is knitted, though, so I guess I'm no help. Just thought you'd enjoy seeing it.
