Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have recently been told about McNee's reading program, which she developed to teach her Downs child to read with great success.

I tried to link in through Mater Ambalis (1B) site but the page is down, also tried via Google still no success. Does anyone know why this may be?

I desparetly want to send it to a friend who not only has a Downs child and a dyslexic child but has just had another child diganosed with some major learning issues also.

Interestingly McNee's program is based on phonics. all that my friend has read regards reading and Downs children support the look say method.

I've just had an email from my friend who is also now searching the net. She thinks that the program is now published by Elliot Right Way books and it costs. Does this sound correct? Kathryn and Michelle perhaps you may know?

I'm pretty sure it was always available in book form, but for some reason (author's generosity?) had also been made available free on the net. Presumably that isn't the case any more . This is the book, but it looks as though it may be hard to obtain. Amazon UK appear to be able to get what I think must be an older version. If you have any luck tracking it down, please let me know!

Ah! Amazon in the US has it (here). The book itself isn't too expensive, so it may be worth the postage to Australia.

Kathryn
Thanks for the info. Very much appreciated. I've now contacted a friend who originally told me about it. I know she has photocpied it all. I'm hoping she also saved it and can send as attached form. I can send to you if interested.

I know this is an older thread, but I recently found the new site for Cat Phonics, and thought I'd post it. MA still links to the old site. :)
