Anyone have any recommendations for a good workout DVD?
Ideally I would like something that would do a 10-15 minute workout and that would be kid friendly for little ones (to either watch or even join in)

You'll definitely want to consider this DVD.
There are 6 workouts and each are 15 minutes. They are quick and challenging AND kid-friendly. Plus, I like Tamilee Webb.

...or, you can get on board the 4Real T-Tapp train!!! Seriously, we ought to have our own fan club by now. We love the 15 minute workout!

T-tapp really is the most kid-friendly 15 minute program. Part of the reason is that you are trying to move all over the place and tripping on kids!
I also have 10 Minute Solutions, which has 19 min segments of ballet, yoga, kick boxing and pilates. I enjoy it when I do it, but I don't reach for it much.

Walk Away the Pounds/Leslie Sansone has been my favorite for years. I lost over 20 pounds using her walking videos. She is a Christian lady so she is always modestly dressed and so are the women who work out with her.Leslie Sansone
ETA:Here is her one mile walk~ you can do it in 15 minutes

I also love Leslie Sansone and lost 30 pounds using her Walk Away Express DVDs. There was only one that had a lady wearing a half shirt (showing off her very flat stomach) but they also had an older man in the background which I was glad for my sons to see. This isn't just for girls ya know! I just got the T-Tapp DVD in and am hoping to start it today. Pretty sad considering I started that thread!

Charlotte,
I'm eager to see how you compare T-Tapp to Leslie Sansone...let us know how you feel after tapping.

I wanted to add that the only reason I haven't gone back to Leslie's DVD's right now is that I got in habit of doing them so much and so often that I had them practically memorized and realized that I wasn't working at a higher intensity level anymore. I chose to take a break from them and try other exercise methods so that I could eventually go back to them and feel like they were new again. But I have read that this can happen with any kind of exercise that you do over and over. You really do need a variety.

10 minute trainer by Tony Horton. I got it about a week or so ago and lost over 5 lbs! It is a series of 5 workout videos (10 minutes each). You an an total body, cardio, lower body, abs and yoga. It is tough! But it works and it is super short. I do 10-20 minutes a day.

Thanks everyone!
After reading the T-Tapp thread and all of your rave reviews I am going for it!
Even got hubby on board to say he would do it with me.

That guy is brutal - in a good way, of course. My neighbor and I work out together early every morning for 1/2 hour, and a lot of times we do (part of) his P90X workout and it is KILLER. It works, of course, which is always a happy thing.

Elizabeth asked me to compare T-Tapp to the Leslie Sansone workouts and after having done both, here is my opinion.
I stopped logging in the T-Tapp workout as exercise accomplished after the first few times I tried it (even though I have continued trying it) because I never felt like I was doing it right. Now, that could be just me. I consider myself to be pretty coordinated and can still do some fairly complex dance moves but she occasionally lost me. Maybe I was doing it right, because I was sweating, but it felt so awkward that I didn't feel like I was doing it right and that started to really bug my inner perfectionist. I know other people have said that it takes a good long while to feel comfortable with it but I don't have that kind of time right now. I need to feel like I am exercising or I won't get into the habit of it? Does that make sense?
I liked the way T-Tapp really did engage my muscles (muscles I didn't even know I had!) and I loved the way it made me more conscious of my posture. I do plan on continuing it and I think it would be a great means of maintenance exercise once I reach that point but as someone who wants to lose between 30-40 pounds, I needed to feel like I was really working out and doing it right, right now!
That is where Leslie Sansone comes in. Being a former dancer (ballroom in high school), the music and staying on the beat really appeals to me. I started out using just the Walk Away the Pounds Express DVD's; 1&2 mile, 3mile, &4 mile Super Challenge and occasionally the Walk Strong DVD. Those are the ones that I mentioned above that I have done so many times that I had them memorized. I went ahead and ordered some new ones from the Walk Firm series and have been slowly mixing them in. I really like them. They include some jogging intervals and offer the option of playing the workout with just music so you don't have to listen to her talking, if that kind of thing bothers you. What appeals to me most right now it that I can do it right away and feel like I am doing it right. My kids also work right along side of me and they can do just about all of the moves as well. I think these are a little more advanced that the Express ones but I like them just as much.
I do think both kinds of workouts are equally effective and will give you results. I first heard about T-Tapp from a friend who needed to lose a large amount of weight and T-Tapp was the ONLY kind of exercise she could physically do. It worked tremendously well for her! For me, the Leslie Sansone workouts have a bigger appeal right now but I am still interested in mixing in some T-Tapp to keep my exercise plan fresh and interesting.

Posting this here and on the T-Tapp thread:
Let me clarify because I would hate to discourage anyone from trying an exercise program that might work for them. Exercise is so important for mental and physical health!!! I can completely see the benefit of T-Tapp especially for those moms who can't find a lot of time to devote to exercise in their day. My youngest is almost 5 and most nights, I get a completely uninterrupted night's sleep. That makes a big difference in being able to get up an hour early and devote that time to exercise without letting any of my domestic duties slide. For a tired mom with a little one or a mom of many or a mom with older children who have lots of outside obligations, T-Tapp might be the better solution.
And I do think the T-Tapp routines would be very effective in strengthening, toning and even weight (or inches) loss. I am a little disappointed in myself that I didn't fall in love with it right away but that is just me. I am pursuing other methods of exercise just to keep me going with my routine but still working the T-Tapp in as a bonus.
Anyway, I didn't want my previous comment to discourage anyone from trying it or persisting with it.
