Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking for a website that has small motors and electrical "stuff" for a 7 yo.Buzzers, gears, etc.
I am not really interested in kits to build a particular thing, he already has KNex, but something that he can investigate with on his own.
Any ideas?
Viv

This set looks like it could be fun:

Gears

The Fischertechnik Universal with Manual looks like fun but is less open ended (many projects though!)

I'll keep thinking....

Here's something else. It is gears withOUT batteries which to me seems more intriguing (and won some toy award in 2003)....

M*Gears
It says: Constructing with gears moves to the next level with this deluxe motorized micro gears building set. This introductory building kit includes over 300 pieces and 18 different types of building pieces and a forward/backward motor control, making for endless creative building possibilities from robots to helicopters to scorpions. M•Gears easily snap together for quick modifications. Includes instruction guide with building suggestions and model ideas.

Hey Viv! I have been admiring Snap Circuits for a while. They are modular, and thus easy to handle, and while you can use the instructions, one can easily design his own projects.

Amazon seems to be out of the Snap Circuits, but I saw those snap circuits at the same place as M*Gears here.

I am not affiliated with the Brain Builders website nor have I ordered from them. They look to be at least a good source of information.

Blessings,
Jen

My mistake, it does take batteries, but it still looks nice

Timberdoodle has the Snap Circuits sets at a reduced price compared to other sources I've seen.
