We just learned yesterday that Dh is at grave risk of paralysis if he doesn't have back surgery ASAP. We are working quickly to find the right neurosurgeon to do the surgery.
Could someone recommend an appropriate patron saint for this situation. Please. 
Thank you.
UPDATE 2/10: I'm overwhelmed at so many replies of encouragement and prayers. THANK you! Dh has a last-minute appointment with a top neurosurgeon in Richmond this Thursday. I'm really praying we have a surgery date on the calendar by the end of the week.

Oh my, how frightening. Praying all works out and that God guides this entire process...it all seems to come at you so fast!

Dear Martha - I am praying and praying for your husband and for all of you. Some possible saints as intercessors:
1) Unfailing petition to Saint Joseph (I have it on my blog)
2) Saint Luke is the patron of surgeons, physicians and I think those healing from surgery
3)Saint Gemma Galgani who suffered from back and spine problems
4) Saint Therese of Lisieux
I will be remembering you dh is my daily rosary and memorare and Saint Joseph prayers.

Martha, since my dh is also dealing with serious spinal issues and loss of function, my heart is with you. St. Therese had tuberculosis which went to her spine, so we pray to her for Ed. We also ask the intercession of Cardinal Kung, since 4 of our children are Chinese, and he is such a holy intercessor in Heaven, having suffered much in 30 years of imprisonment.
We're sure praying that you are led to the right neurosurgeon and that your dh will have an excellent outcome.

Oh, no. I am praying, Martha and Mary Alice, for your husbands and for you. I'll be at church tomorrow morning and I'll say some extra prayers for the intercession of St. Therese, St. Luke, St. Gemma and Cardinal Kung, and ask St. Joseph to intercede for your dear husbands.

Oh, Martha, that is so scary! Praying you find just the right doctor! That would be hard for me, too.
My husband's cousin received a similar diagnosis.....had the surgery, and is now back to coaching and playing basketball....and lawyering.....and whatever else it is he does.
Praying for a similar outcome!
