Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Superbowl snacks are a MUST in our house - so I am trying to brainstorm early. I am thinking of buffalo wings, quesadillas or tacquitos, some kind of dip with veg/breadsticks, mini meatballs in bbq sauce. Maybe little meat puffs - puff pastry filled with a ground beef mixture. Not sure what to have to drink - Trader Joe's sparking pomegranate juice?

Please share your ideas and recipes.

Yeah! This has been on my mind this week too. I'm not to sure about snacks, dh isn't really into snacks, but I know what's for dinner. We'll be making flat iron steaks on our new skillet and probably twice baked potatoes. So many yummy things to eat, so little time!

DH doesn't watch football. SO its just a regular Sunday around here.

However, I like to watch football--especially big games (even though I don't watch most of the times). So I'll probably make something. Not sure what yet.

Touchdown taco dip and gazpacho dip served with warm naan bread are musts around here; fruit salsa with cinnamon chips and maybe a trifle for dessert. It sounds like a lot of food but it is essentially dinner. We usually host a family party but since we have both been sick Husband and I are passing this year!

This thread is making me hungry, and it isn't lunch time yet.

LOL

Pioneer Woman has a good bunch of recipes over on her website...

I'm not sure what we're eating but the game won't be watched as my youngest (think BamBam with attitude) gets wayyyyy toooo emotional during football games. College football this season ... NONE of his teams would win and he'd be sobbing and ranting and raving and it was too much for all of us. Add to that that his brother (all of 4 years older and SOOO mature! ) always has to root for the team that JP wants to lose.

So, we'll eat great food ... maybe watch some Dickens or some Austen and relax!
