Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ladies (and gents) you've always been so generous with your prayers. I need some more if you have some extra time.

1. We're trying to discern whether to pull my 16yos out of private Catholic school and homeschool him. He's not keen on the idea but he's also not doing what he agreed to do -- he's stopped studying and isn't trying to keep his grade above about a C average. He's smarter than that -- all he has to do is read and study, but he seems to have given up. Add to this the fact that the school is having major growing pains -- various teenage problems -- all of which we know about because dh teaches at the same school! It's almost as if Joe is subconsciouly trying to get us to pull him.

2. Please pray for our next adventure: dh, who has a PhD in Biology, an MTS in Marriage and Family, and is currently working on a licentiate in Bioethics, has applied to the PhD back in Gaming, Austria (where FUS and Ave Maria students are located also!). We were there 3 years ago for 2 years, and would all love to go back. (Maybe this is why Joe is acting up -- he figures he wouldn't finish at the High School next year anyway )

Prayers for both of these would be great.

Also, for those of you who prayed for my sister -- as far as I know there is no change -- she's been in the hospital since last Tuesday and altho there have been small signs of improvement (they moved the O2 tube to her mouth from her nose; they moved her to a 2-bed ICU room as she doesn't need such individual care; they did some brain test late last week and there were "positive" signs). Please continue to keep Anne, her dh and son (neither of whom are particularly religious) and my poor mother in your copious prayers!

Joining your prayers for discernment on these important matters and also still praying for your sister.

May St. Thomas More intercede for you.
