Please pray for a good friend of mine and a member here. She has an cardiac ultrasound on Monday to check on her little one's heart. Everything seems okay, but because of a medical condition baby is at risk for certain heart defects.   This mother is one of the most selfless and generous women I know, and I know your prayers would mean very much to her.

I'm praying for this mom's peace of mind and for the baby! I know the angst of these "diagnostic ultrasounds". It is so hard to quiet the imagination. I'm praying with much empathy.

UPDATE: I spoke with the dear friend Lisa posted about above earlier this morning and she asked me to update you all (her computer is acting up ).

The ultrasound went well yesterday and they did not find any abnormalities...baby looks just fine. She said she was very grateful for everyone's prayers.

She added that the prayers may have had an additional benefit. During the course of the conversation with the ultrasound tech she learned that the tech's daughter had had an abortion some years ago and is now really struggling emotionally. Our dear friend was able to pass along info. re: Rachel's Vineyard and the ultrasound tech was excited to be able to have that for her daughter!
