Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just ordered these handbellsfor my daughter and was disappointed to see that they did not come with a color coded song book. You can purchase color coded chord cards, but I am hoping to find easy and simple songs color coded. Does anyone know of a source? I know I could probably make them easily but I just do not want to...

Anyone have success or fun stories with these or similar hand bells?

Any hand bell tips for a beginner?

The bell is supposed to be rung in a circle... so start with elbows bent, move out from your body, flick the wrist before your arm is fully extended, bring the bell up and back to your shoulder to dampen. Most people ring them like they are hammers....

Here's an old thread on handbells.

Very helpful. Thank you. We're hammer ringers here.

We're ringers here! We use Schulmerich Bells that belong to our church. In addition we own a set of Schulmerich chimes, and a set just like yours for the wee ones.

Bell ringing is a fabulous way to introduce your kids to music - it helps them to understand how to read music really well - almost as well as piano playing.

As for colour-coded song cards - you probably really could make them easily yourself. I don't know of any sources for extra ready-made cards, but would love to know if there are.

Have fun!

Blessings,
