Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone seen this or plan to see it?

Doubt

A parish priest recommended it to the entire congregation and want to start a discussion group on the movie in early February. I plan to see it, but would love to hear from others...

really?? I have seen previews and thought it looked sensationalistic and anti-Catholic. I heard an NPR (granted, it was NPR) interview from the Priest who was the "consultant" to the film, he sounded waaayyyy off.
I'd love to hear what others know about this.

My first impression was to stay as far away from it as possible, but then I was listening to Hugh Hewitt praising Catholic education the other day, and he talked about how UN-anticatholic the movie was, and highly recommended it...

I think I will wait until Netflix or the library has it, but I do think I will check it out, if for nothing else than to be able to refute its points should they come up in discussion with others.
