My dear grandmother passed away today at the age of 83. She had 10 children and at last count for the obituary she had 104 grand/great-grandchildren! She was Mexican and very devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe, I can still see her prayer corner with a huge picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe with red candles burning before it.

As a gift to my mother and 9 aunts and uncles, the children and I are planning to make a rosary for each of them so they may use it for the recitation of the Rosary Grandma requested we say for her soul. I have been searching the Internet for O/L/G medals in full color but I have only found them at $30 and up each.

My question is: Do any of you have a site you can recommend to me to purchase inexpensive, full-color medals of Our Lady of Guadalupe to use for our Rosaries? Maybe O/L/G beads (if there is such a thing)?

In regards to beads, I would choose a bead that somehow reflects the apparition in some way, I know when I made my beads I chose fire-agate 6mm gemstones because they reminded me of the sunburst behind Our Lady...

Anne, the medals are EXACTLY what I had in mind and the price is perfect. Would you happen to have a picture of the Rosary you made on your blog?

Oh, Anne! Your Rosaries are breath taking! Thank you for the link and all the helpful info. If someone is lurking on your blog for the next week, it will be me.

I just inter-library loaned the Warren Carroll book too, I've been looking for a good read aloud for my older guys since we finished Don Camillo. Thank you, thank you.

Just a quickie: My grandmother has not been able to communicate for months. When my mother went in to pray for her, she made the sign of the cross! My aunt tells me that she had the most peaceful smile during Last Rites. God is so good.
