Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How cold is too cold? :)
I've been line drying all summer and I'd like to keep it up whenever I'm able. We live fairly south, so our winters are pretty mild compared to many of you, but we will still have some mighty cold days!

I have hung laundry in below freezing temps. when we were first married and had little money. Sometimes had to hang the jeans over a chair overnight, but it worked. It's tough on your hands though, as I couldn't get the pins on when wearing gloves. HTH

We hang out until it is too cold not to wear gloves...I agree with Liz, gloves are hard to make work with the pins:) It was in the 20's today and I didn't want to go out with wet laundry, but above freezing means using the line around here

I have a portable drying rack in my basement so I can hang-dry all year. I've also been known to put it on my porch (no HOA, obviously). In this house I can hang some items from shower curtain rods, as they are solidly bolted to the walls.

When I lived in Ireland and Italy we hung laundry all year (rain or shine in Ireland!). Sometimes our towels were, well, stiff!

Yes, we hang clothes all year as well. Sometimes, they come in so cold that they still feel wet. I just throw them over the radiator! I also have a portable drying rack, a shower curtain, and I am anxious to buy a rack that you can use on your radiator! It is hard to dry clothes in the pouring down rain.

I have a couple of those portable laundry racks...they are set up in the house right now. Two of them will hold most of a couple of loads of laundry, though I usually end up draping things over chairs. I'm getting tired of tripping over them though. :) I wish we had a basement of something to put them in!

We have a garage..it's detached though, so it'd be just as cold as the outdoors,,,though maybe a bit drier!!
