Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My ds has raced through the K level of the new CHC writing books. He has only about 7 pages left. Should I go on to the next level now? Is the K book meant to last all year? He does it five days a week (vs the recommended 4), but he likes it- especially likes to flip back through and see how his writing has improved.

That's so funny -- my boys love those books too! And I haven't a clue why. They PLEAD to do another page of handwriting. Isn't that funny? It's not like they're colorful! I think maybe it's because so easy to use with the spiral on top???? And for the 2nd grader it has religious copywork?

I'm sure they meant one book per year but I can't see why you couldn't go on with them... but I don't have the 1st grade book to tell you what it's like.

That spiral top just draws them in- something about flipping up the pages really appeals to ds .

I looked at the next book- just the sample pages on line- but it looks like it would be OK to continue with. It follows the LSFLF books that we read, and ds also likes that connection. It does look a little more advanced, but I think he can still do it- maybe we'd split some of the longer copy work into two days.

BTW- I saw that now CHC has some of their books available as down loads to help save costs. PLus they now have a used book section.

I can't help but think they are a company that is really rolling with the time and striving to help homeschooling families.

I saw that too! Their holy papers are so wonderful for copywork! They have been oop for so many years - what a blessing for families to have access to them and in such an affordable way!    CHC!

I have the 2nd grade book and compared to Seton it is very light. Which is fine...so rolling through the books quickly, shouldn't be a problem. My problem is finding the time to do some extra writing with them, on paper.
