Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

for my soon to be 9yo son is fast approaching? Anyone had one? What did you do? How did you decorate?

Shamelessly looking for inspiration,
Kathleen

We have not done a birthday party, but we've used The Redwall Cookbook for special meals and feasts!

We attended one in May - let's see if I can remember...there was a riddle/scavenger hunt, word scramble, sword in the cake search....

Hope that helps!

I have to second the Redwall Cookbook... we really enjoyed our Redwall feast complete with October Ale and Shrew Cakes

We had a homeschool party a few years back. Mums, Dads and kids all came dressed as a Redwall character. The op-shops were great places to shop.

Every family bought a dish or two, the Redwall site was great for recipes. The children had all made bows and arrows, they bought them and had an archery competition. That Feast is a golden memory.
