I would like to ask for prayers for myself, I have a raging sore throat at present, I can hardly swallow, it feels as though my throat is swollen inside...this is the second time I've come down with this in 2 weeks.

Oh, how terrible, Anne! I'm so sorry about this - I hate sore throats. They seem to be harbingers for illness to come. I'll pray that yours goes away with no further illness to deal with.

Praying for you! We just all got over sore throats in our home -- I hope yours doesn't last too long! Hot water, honey and lemon slices helped us.

So sorry Anne.
Have you tried gargling with pretty warm water and salt? Like a whole teaspoon to a half a glass. It has really helped alleviate the 'fire' for me in the past.

Oh Anne, I am so sorry.....I have had the same thing this past week, and now have a horrible sinus thing. If you have had it twice, do you think it could be strep, and you need an antibiotic? Strep can be pretty serious.

Hi Anne,
Not good!
Majella and Tom are in bed, Anthony also has a sore throat doesn't seem as bad as the others. I am feeling iffy too. The others seem ok for now and Augustine please God will not catch what ever this is.
Yours sounds far worse than ours. I hope for us at least this is as bad as it gets. It's been an awful year for horror sore throats.
My thoughts and prayers are will you.

Thank you for those prayers, I'm surfacing better today, with only mild effects still lingering. Dh and my eldest girl have it at present too, it seems to be doing the rounds...you just don't really expect it in the blistering heat of Summer...

My 15 year old got this, too. It was horrible. He could hardly swallow, let alone talk. So far the rest of us seem to have escaped. Summer must make it worse  I will say some prayers for your family.
