Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We got a beta fish for John Paul and he likes to feed his fish (he named him John Paul the Catfish .) We place three of those tiny pellets in each of 21 spaces of a pill dispenser that covers a week (it has a total of 28 spaces and we picked it up at Walmart.)

Love,

Um, pellets? My dd has a beta and feeds him the flake food--are the pellets easier to deal with? TIA!

Oh yea, the pellets are much easier - especially to clean up if the container is dumped - and they smell a little bit better too. That is a very clever idea Angie - we've lost a few fish in the past from over zealous toddlers overfeeding them.

Absolutely! And I do consider myself an expert on this topic having had our beta in the house for 2 weeks . We have some flakes - something about giving them better color?...all I know is that the flakes are messy and hard to measure (we're not supposed to overfeed ? and they don't do well in the pill dispenser. Without the dispenser, I honestly don't know how a 3yo and I would keep track of feeding.

Love,

Lisa, I think I read the tip on a Debt-proof Living email well before I got the fish. For the life of me I can't figure out how I remember something like that but can't keep my calendar straight .

The reason we have "John Paul the Catfish" is because John Paul the zealous overfeeder has killed one too many of his brother's fish .

Love,
