Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Mike has just returned from the vacuum store. Long story short, it's going to cost an outrageous amount of money to fix our 2-year-old Dyson. All those plastic parts have not held up well in a house full of kids, a shaggy dog and a mom who vacuums every day. The vacuum cleaner guy wants to sell us a new vacuum, taking our Dyson for trade credit. Does anyone have experience with a Cirrus vacuum? He really seems to think a bag vacuum is better than the bagless but I'm not thrilled at the prospect of buying lots and lots of bags. We generate a serious amount of dust, dander, and dirt around here and I vacuum obsessively.

We changed to a bag one after years of bagless - my allergist told me the bag ones are much better for filtration and allergies.

Our personal vacuum strategy - after going through VERY expensive allergy store recommended ones - is to buy the best HEPA filtration one (which is not too heavy) at the cheapest price (usually Costco) - because with 4 kids using the vacuum it is bound to have a short life

Another option - we use the main HEPA vac for once a week deep vacuuming - we use a light stick alternative for daily and after meal cleaning (but - we do have hard flooring on the whole of our main level)

Can you tell that I am an obsessive vacuumer too?

I have heard the bag vacuums are better too. They apparently suck it in and it stays, no blowing back out in little bits.

I wish I vacuumed more actually!!!

I have a Riccar that I love. Extremely strong suction, bagged, and made in America! I too vaccum daily. Mine is 4 years old and going strong. I did crackt he fan housing once accidentally sucking up a metal magentix ball, but Riccar has a "parts only" warranty, so it only cost me $15 for a new housing. In 4 years I have replaced the belt only at my annual "check up"

I am not familiar with the brand you asked about, sorry.
