Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I love this time of year -- the grocery stores and book stores are full of those fun, eye-candy, Christmas magazines! I love looking at the crafts and cooking that these have .... altho I've been noticing a trend toward less hand-made and more store-bought !

But, on to happier themes: today I picked up Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion for December and Bliss Victoria for Nov/Dec -- definitely worth the cost!

So, which have y'all found this season?

Simple Gifts comes out tomorrow in electronic format. There is an option to have it printed, too.

I'll send the link in the morn.

Blessings,

Oh, those are two I enjoy looking at, Mary! Definitely some "safe" 'eye candy' for Mama! LOL

We moved into a house 3xs the size of our old one, so while I had PLENTY of decorations for the old house, I suspect that they will be swallowed up here...

Oh darn. More Christmas decorations!! (I LOVE CHRISTMAS! ).

Rachel (who has to buy some candles for the Advent wreath--ours got broken in the move..)

I love cooking mags this time of year. I have Bon Appetit's Nov. and Dec. issues. Nov. has some great recipes, but I haven't had a chance to look at the Dec. one yet.
