I don't know if even fewer people will participate this month, but here goes. Statistics help me stay motivated. I'm not going to post regular updates if no one else ever posts even once in this thread though because that would just feel silly

My minimum goals for this month:
1/2 hour walk every day (same as last month)
1/2 cup leafy greens every day (same as last month)
Weigh in on Dec. 1 at least 4 pounds lighter than on Nov. 1

Haven't had a walk or leafy greens the first two days of the month. It was a very busy weekend.

I got a call this evening that my father was hospitalized for a cardiac "event". It reminded me (AGAIN!) that I need to take better care of my health, so I will join the November challenge!!

I vow to walk 5 out of 7 days/week.
I will give up ALL soda (I gave up a lot of it, but need to kick the last few cans to the curb this month)

I promise to post updates :)

I will participate. Since I was sick all of October, my weight we up rather than down. Total lack of exercise.

My goals:
- to lose 2 pounds
- to workout at least 4 times per week for 30 minutes
- to eat no more than 2 treats per day (sounds like a lot, but I currently eat more than 2 )

Oh, Melanie, I'm sorry! It is motivation, though, isn't it, just of an unfortunate kind.

Angi, sounds like you're feeling better, glad to hear it. I had a pretty mild cold that left me really looking forward to being less lazy when I was all better -- that "Why didn't I appreciate it when I was well?" kind of thing.

I need to get in on this too! I don't know how or why, but my eating habits took a pretty bad turn this last month or two. I just went shopping yesterday to stock up on more fruits and veggies.

I am going to start small with my goals, because I know myself, and if it's too much I just won't do it!

*More fruits and veggies each day
*Drinking more water!!
*Exercise at least three times each week

Good luck everyone!

I didn't participate in last months challenge because I was too busy. I started a new job where I walk 15 top 20 miles a night, plus lifting and squating down.

I have lost 18 lbs since I started there! Wow!

My goals this month are to lose 6 lbs. Fix up my nutrition (I've been eating a lot of sugar) and do yoga 3 times a week.

Yesterday was the first day of the month that I met any of my goals. We walked to the polling place; I didn't get the exact time but I think it was about 14 minutes for a little less than half a mile. Then we walked back. I continued walking while wearing the baby for a while after my husband the boys went inside for lunch, so the walk back for me totaled at least 33 minutes and 1.24 miles.

And I had my leafy greens at dinner yesterday.

This morning I weighed in at... um... not going to say, but it is only 0.9 pounds more than a weight loss minigoal I had set for December 17, and 12.1 pounds lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight. Baby is almost 11 weeks old.

ETA: Had my leafy greens on the 5th but no walk.

Took a walk today, 39 minutes and about 1.64 miles. The weather was wonderful here.

Theresa, WOW!!! You're an inspiration!!!

I haven't joined for this month because I have been discouraged. I am not disciplined enough to stick with anything. So, I spent a small fortune to get the T-Tapp DVD. I figure I can spare 15 minutes a day, right? And with all the good things said about it I hope to actually see improvements with actual set goals. As soon as I receive it (hopefully early next week) I plan to do the 14 day boot camp. I will definitely check in here for encouragement and accountability.

Thanks, Leah.

I don't think I've heard of T-Tapp outside of this board and haven't read that much of what's been written about it here either. I hope you can make some progress toward your goals.

As for me, since last posting, I've had broccoli on the 8th, 9th, and 10th, but have only had one exercise walk, of less than 30 minutes: about 0.89 miles in 23 minutes on the 8th.

I'll post mine (November's always a horrible health month for me)

daily vegetables
15 minutes on the exercise bike or equivalent
lose 2 pounds from where I am now (I have been afraid to weigh in but I know I've gained 4-5 pounds).

Thank you for keeping this up, Theresa.

I got my T-Tapp DVD yesterday. I didn't get much sleep Sunday night because I have a sick 1 yo. So I was grumpy and tired and had no motivation, but I wanted to try out my new video. I did the workout and I actually did feel a bit better. I think it had to do with the stretching. I didn't think much of the workout itself, but today I'm a little sore in weird places. Day one accomplished! Now I have to do it today.

I'm doing ok with the drinking water and eating a little better, but the exercising isn't really happening. I have fibromyalgia and I've been having a lot of pain this past week. It makes it hard to get going, even though it does ultimately help to exercise.f
I have a pilates dvd....I'm thinking about trying that next.

No exercise walks since my last post :( That means none since the 8th. Ugh.

I did have leafy greens on the 11th, 12th, (forgot to log everything I ate in DietPower on the 13th so not sure,) and 15th.

On November 17 I reached a weight loss minigoal I'd set for December 17! (And 0.3 pounds lighter than it too.) I'm now over 18 pounds lighter than I was at one point in 2007. My new minigoal is another 9.7 pounds lighter by February 2.

How are you doing?

I have T-Tapped for eight days straight now! I haven't really seen that much change, though.

Congratulations, Theresa!! That is a huge accomplishment.

I've been staying clear of the "challenge" threads since no matter what I did (gave up Pepsi and walked/hiked every single day) the scale didn't move.

Since sitting at home (car engine blew) doing absolutely nothing, plus I started my Pepsi again I've lost five pounds.    I just don't get it.

No promises to post since I'm not doing anything, but I'll try to get the scale to move some more before the weight loss resolutions of the new year.

I have lost about 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks.

My craving for sugar has decreased significantly. This is huge because I am a "treats momma." I love to have treats.

Thanks, Michaela. If it's caffeinated Pepsi, I wonder could the stimulant effect be somewhat suppressing your appetite even as the sugar might tend toward the opposite? I don't know for a fact, but maybe caffeine has significant metabolism-raising effects in some people.

Yesterday on Nov. 20 I hit that goal early of weighing in 4 pounds lighter on Dec. 1 than on Nov. 1. I was 4.5 pounds lighter already -- 15.1 pounds lighter than pre-pregnancy weight.

Yes, I like numbers.

Still no more exercise walks. Leafy greens on the 18th.

Oh well, even I didn't update much (or meet my goals very well) last month. No more walks since my last post :( It looks like I only met my 1/2 cup leafy greens goal on one day since then, the 28th.

I did meet my December 1 weight goal though -- 4.7 pounds lighter than November 1. That's 15.3 pounds lighter than pre-pregnancy weight, at a little less than 3 1/2 months postpartum.
