Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My Mom had one when I was a kid... and she and I have looked at her house to find it without success. I think it must have been one that is published now without that many pictures? But I remember colored pictures and a beautiful colored hardcovered book.

Several in German. Last year was an anniversary...400 years???? I can't remember exactly .
If you want to check out amazon.de and type in Heilige Elisabeth. (Notice the S instead of Z) you will find children and adult books.

Elisabeth

This is the one we have in Germany. I would also recommend the book written by the von Kettelers.

Sara, just this evening I was remembering fondly Nesta deRobeck's biography of St. Elizabeth of Hungary. It is such a deep book. It's not a picture book though. I hope you don't mind that I mentioned it here. I thought it was uncanny to see a request for a book about St. Elizabeth after I had all those warm fuzzies.

Not at all. I like to read along at my level on the same topics I am reading to the kids on theirs.

Stephanie, those books are beautiful . . . now I just need someone to translate them for me!
