I'm hoping you can help me, I really want to buy some good quality fitted cloth nappies(diapers)but as money is an issue I'm searching on ebay.
I have three possibles at present; These tots bots top leading brand in the UK, this bummis kit(can anyone tell me if prefolds are the same as fitted?) or bambino mio or I could just wait and keep hoping I'll manage to grab some baby beehinds for a decent price.
Are any of these brands familiar to anyone? What do you think?

Prefolds and fitteds are different. A prefold is essentially a flat diaper that has been "pre folded" (and sewn) into a rectangle with more layers down the center. In a way it is a bit of a misnomer, because one still needs to do more folding to put it on the baby (and then use either pins or a snappi)
I am not familiar with those brands. I use prefolds with pins and wool soakers at home and Little Beetle hemp lites (these are fitteds) with wool soakers when I am out of the house. The Little Beetles are pricy, but since I didn't have to buy any diapers for our second I splurged on a dz fitteds to make my trips away from the house easier. I still think I get a better fit with the prefolds, but pins are a hassle out of the house, ime.

Ha! We love our bummis and prefolds. Just goes to show that each baby (and diapering mama) is different. 
If you go the prefolds route, get 4-6 snappis so you don't have to mess with pins.

Well, I can't stand snappis. I could never get a good fit and my dd always had a "handle" in front from them. I *love* pins. I always found them so easy to work with and always got a good fit.

Erin, I am not familiar with the brands you mention except for the bummis. I think that they have improved their covers. I had a couple for my last baby and they got so wet very fast. I have a new one and the design is a little different so baby's clothes don't get wet. Still not my favorite.
I do like prefolds, although I am just discovering fitted and am really liking them! Especially when we are out, I don't like messing with pins, so I use fitted or AIOs. At home I prefer pins to Snappis.
I have been very happy with the AIOs and fitted diapers from Blue Penguin. Their covers aren't my favorites, but I have one of each and they all work well.

Well Erin, as you can see - no one diaper works for everyone. I love EcoBaby dipes. I got mine at JulieStuff. I don't see them on her site now. However, those Bamboozles look worth my while! I'd love to get some of those for The Pea. They look deliciously soft and bamboo is super-duper absorbent.

I've used prefolds from day one with my first, and I never use Snappis OR pins. I just lay the diaper in the wrap cover and the cover holds it in place.
Babies are all shaped so differently, too, it is hard for one type of diaper to be universally ideal for everyone's needs.

For nighttime absorbency, I have been thrilled with these covers! My two in diapers would soak the bed every night until I got these. I only have one for each of them and air dry them during the day. I wash diapers every other day.

I would guess the Bummis I have a very old, because I go them second hand over 10 years ago! :) But I never liked them. I have a friend that uses them with rubber pants over them. (even the AIO's)
I don't like Snappi's either, they make the diaper gap funny and the bigger babies pull 'em right off. Pins are great with a pull on or when we just wear a diaper and a t-shirt.

Erin, they're expensive but a local friend has got some Bum Genius and says they are brilliant.
Have you tried Weenies- the ones from Tasmania? They have an outer cover which does up at the back so the baby can't undo it and they use folded whatever- cloth nappies, microfibre nappies (which I loved) hemp or some kind or prefold type thing or they even sell a disposable pad that fits. They come up on ebay fairly often but are hard to get for a cheap price. You don't need too many of the outer covers and if you have any cloth nappies around you wouldn't have to buy the filler. Just another one I know is available in Aus.

I love totsbots. We have the regular cotton terry ones, a bamboo one (looks like it wouldn't do multiple babies to me but holding up after a year), and the Fluffles which are fabulous (if not very natural!)
