Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

...or know anything about it? I found it on Amazon by accident, and it looks interesting. Its possible that the family is Catholic??

I'd be interested in hearing about it if you've read it or heard about it...

Books,

The family is Catholic but slams the parochial school system a bit. I REALLY like the book and have lots of tabs for quotes to pull out and write a blog post about! I like their attitude ... they took their kids out because didn't feel school was doing their children justice ...

Because both are free-lance writers, they have quite a bit of freedom to take off and travel with their kids -- a luxury I certainly don't have ....

But I like lots of their comments and suggestions. Here's a link to an unschooling thread where this book is discussed a bit (scroll down to find the first mention).

I read it and loved it. They are indeed Catholic, are quite witty, and tell an engaging story. I recommend it!

My library had it, I put a hold on it and am looking forward to a good read. Thanks!

God bless,
Christine
