Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This Sunday our daughter will be baptized. We are so excited. As many of you know, she came to us as a foster child in February 2007 and we finalized our adoption in late August. She is now 3 years old. Our priest is the former Vicar General for the Diocese and he always does a wonderful job baptizing children.

Please keep us in your prayers as we celebrate this joyful occasion.

Thank you.

How lovely! I wish I could be there in person! (I cry at all baptisms...you might be glad I am not there...)

It is so wonderful to read about your experience...what a blessing your beautiful daughter must be to your family!
