Please lift my mother, Elsie, up in prayer - the beloved grandmother of my three sons. She is hospitalized with a recurrence of breast cancer in her abdominal cavity and cannot eat. She is very weak and emaciated, and yet is fighting so hard to make herself eat, and not need IV nutrition (which poses an unacceptable infection risk to her life). She wants to live longer and have time with her grandsons, and is suffering so much.

Please pray for healing, especially that she will succeed in being able to eat enough to sustain her life for some time to come without IV nutrition.

I have lifted her up in prayer here before, as she was my most able and generous caregiver for my older sons while our youngest battled leukemia. Just 2 months ago she was here moving our furniture around and doing active things she loved with her grandsons, and suddenly in August, she was diagnosed with this aggressive cancer and has gone almost overnight into a very sick condition.

Please pray specifically for her to be able to eat, and generally, for peace, healing and comfort, and the grace to accept God's will, and for God's mercy upon her.
