Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wow! I am in awe at all of the learning opportunities there are in Virginia. My son just started college in Virginia and each time we go to drop him off or visit, we find more things to do and places to visit. It seems you cannot swing a bat and not hit a historic this or a cultural that. We have a full calendar of field trips planned!

Yes, we miss living in Virginia. The weather can't be beat either!

Diane -- this is what we're finding living here and LOVING IT! Besides all the amazing places to go, there are some awesome homeschoolers here to play with

In addition to the history and culture that abound here in Virginia, it is such a "homeschool-friendly" state. So many places (fitness centers, libraries and Center for the Arts) offer classes specifically for homeschoolers! I guess it's just so common around here. At least it is here in Northern VA. I can't really speak for other parts of the state.
