Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Since I know that they were at the 4 real conference in 2007, I am hoping that someone here has some information about Catholic Art Works.com.

My friend ordered some stuff from them at the IHM conference this summer and has yet to hear from them. To make matters worse, they have already charged her credit card! They do not return her emails and their voice mail box is "full"

I do know our orders from the 4Real conference last summer took over a month... with no explanation even when we tried to call, e-mail, etc. But it eventually came.

I wish I had more to help... but I was unsuccessful in contacting them last year when we had problems.

Thanks for letting me know, Maryan.

This is very disheartening.

Hi Jen, I am still waitng on something from them that I bought at IHM. I was actually thinking about it yesterday and wondering where it was. I have not tried to contact them yet though. It doesn't sound to promising

I would contact IHM and let them know that you ordered something from then, haven't received it yet, haven't received any notice for the delay, and are unable to reach them. Not that I think they will have success reaching them (because as a conference coordinator I wasn't able to either)... but IHM should be aware that they have a problem with sending out backorders in a timely fashion.

I would contact your credit card company also. While the materials will hopefully come soon, many credit card companies have a limit for filing a complaint. At this point you could put your card on notice and often they will contact the seller. That might get them moving faster.

That's too bad you're having so much trouble. I ordered something from them at the end of August and did receive it this past week. I had already heard from another friend that they're very slow so I was ready to wait a while. Just as I was getting discouraged, the order arrived.

Has anyone ordered from Catholic Art Works in the recent past? They have some nice things, but the reviews above aren't too great.

I ordered from them last Summer. Same song and dance. I didn't get what I ordered until I sent an email saying I was going to dispute the paypal charge. (Funny how my other emails were ignored but that one was answered). I've heard this same kind of story from about 10 other bloggers.

Their stuff is wonderful but the customer service is not that great. I had the same problems as Lacy. It's too bad because I really like their products.

Bummer . Some of their stuff looks like it would be really nice. Thanks for the information.

Their stuff is seriously cute. I think you can get their alphabet saint book on Amazon. Maybe that would be a more reliable way to order from them.

Here's the link to the Alphabet of Catholic Saints on Amazon.

STAY AWAY!

I need to add my experience here. Keep in mind this is May 2011 and I ordered from them Last October 2010 - Seven months have passed.....

I ordered from them a first time - and 2 months later received my items.
I really like the products, so last October 7th I thought I would give them a second shot.

I ordered 6 of the cd-roms (Advent related) and an All Saints Special. I asked for a rush because the CD's needed to go with me to Fl at the end of NOVEMBER.
   ($85.00 total purchase)

I did not receive my order.
I called at the end of December or beginning of January, spoke with George and he was going to get them "right out to me."
I have still never gotten my order.
I have never received a refund.
I do not even have my emails or phone calls returned.
I am furious

My advice would be to avoid these thieves like the plague.

Lesson learned.
However, I will say this.
In all my years homeschooling, I have always tried to support other homeschooling families with cottage businesses by purchasing from them.
I have only run into problems twice.

You know, I tried to order from them last August after seeing all the sweet things Jessica does with their products. I ordered two CD's and never received them. I contacted them a month later and received no response.

The account I used is seldom used anymore, so when I started reading this thread I got worried that they might have charged my account even though at the time of my follow up they hadn't. I just checked the account and they never did charge me... thankfully!

I had no idea of all the problems people were having with them. I went to their website again a few weeks ago because I still wanted to get the CD's I had tried to order. They have changed the entire website and no longer have the same products I wanted. I don't know how the CD's are arranged now, so I didn't know which ones to order.

I was talking to my parish DRE a few days after looking at their website again, and lo and behold she has an entire binder of all their CD's (old format) as well as some books. She even offered to let me borrow any of them if I wanted. I didn't take her up on that at the time... I felt a bad that I would be using them without paying for them. But now after reading this thread I think I feel a little better about asking her to borrow a couple of them sometime.

I still wanted to think the best of these people, and that they just need to get their act together... but after reading about all of your experiences of being charged and never receiving your products it doesn't really bode well for them...

I wonder if this is the only company from which these products are available? For example, I ordered An Alphabet of Catholic Saints from Emmanuel last year and got it just fine. Or, as Lacy mentioned above, Amazon had it too. I'm going now to see if Amazon has any of their other products.

Okay, Amazon had a few things, most of which said "available from Adoremus Books". So, I headed over there and this is the link that has the Nippert and Co products:
Adoremus. I don't think everything is there, I didn't check in detail. But if I order anything it will be through Adoremus!

That's great that there is somewhere reliable to order these things from, but Catholic Artworks usually sells all their CD's to homeschoolers at half price. Too bad we won't be able to take advantage of that.
