Has anyone made any Saint Lapbooks? How? Is there a place like Home School Share for sharing just Catholic Materials? Like Specifically Catholic Unit Studies or lapbooks?

That's one of my dreams -- liturgical year out of the box. That and a used book store. Mary, just move out here! Perhaps we can find more spare time with two.

I just can't stop thinking about how great this would be. Maybe we could set up a blog and start writing studies to put on it? Or at least brainstorm some guidelines. Many hands make light work. I have written many Five in a Row like studies for Homeschool share and I always want to add Catholic content.

My dd makes her own each week. We have a mini book template program that she types the info into, then we find coloring pages, and a map. She really enjoys making them.

Susan Marie, this has been on my mind since you first posted last week, too. I have written a few units for Homeschool Share as well and wish I could expound on the Catholicity of many books and cover explicity Catholic ones! I haven't been jumping in here because I worry aobut being able to follow through. But like you said, many hands make lighter work. I definitely am on board for starting something - it's better to just get going than to talk about it indefinitely. So count me in.
PM me if it would be easier to talk that way - unless others are going to jump in here, too . We could start a specific thread for brainstorming and volunteering. I see you have a homeschool journal blog. Mine is Wordpress. I also am a guest author on a Blogspot one and like that format, too.

Good Mary,
Let's just do it. I am sure I can begin. Let's use Wordpress as I am familiar with it too and I know you can upload files to it. I am wondering what to call it, do you have any ideas? I fear Catholic Homeschool Share is not good since homeschool share is taken. The phrase used in HSshare is many minds make light work and I would like a phrase for us that is catchy and sums up what we are trying to do. St. John Bosco? or perhaps St. Elizabeth Ann Seton? Do you have any ideas? It is a pay it forward type concept too, if that sparks any kind of thought or idea. I was thinking of a Saint that might help us and felt surely Little Teresa's good deed beads are perhaps symbolic. Do brainstorm with me. My first project is a little book of Saints called The Children's Book of Saints by Louis M. Savary, S.T. D. and I am wanting to make notebook pages for it. I also saw this format which might be good too or instead if we created a Catholic share type one
