I love seeing all of the great craft ideas on crafty crow and other blogs. My problems are:
I can't choose which craft to do next, or can't find it when I do (where did I see that great owl bag?). Then of course I never have all of the right supplies on hand, and when I get to the craft store I can never remember what I need.
How do you crafty ladies keep track of:
1. Which crafts you want to do next
2. What supplies to buy to do them?

I use google reader, and star the posts of the ones I want to do. That way I can hit "starred items" and it brings them all up.
As for what to do next....um, well, that would probably be determined by my current mood, so I am not any help there.
I am waiting and hoping that the organized moms will chime in with a system that works better that I can use too!

I put mine in a craft folder in my favorites. I usually need to rename them so I will recognize what the craft is later. 
I try and follow the liturigal year, holidays, and seasons for picking what to do next. But, sometimes, we just do whatever strikes our fancies. 
We don't have a set day that we craft. I buy ahead for a project or two, and then when the urge hits, we craft. I guess this isn't really a lot of help either, but we are "fly by the seat of our pants" crafters around here.

I'm curious about this as well. Sometimes I'll copy and paste onto a word document and print it out. That way I have the visual of it, but then I get too print happy. Then, there are too many pieces of paper floating around. If I'm really feeling organized, I'll put the printout into a file crate where I have a folder for each day of the year.
I'd like to know how you keep your craft supplies organized. I like to save things like egg cartons but I'm having the toughest time with organizing these items.

Duh! I never even thought of doing the "star" thing ... I could use that for my cooking, crafting and other blog reads to "revisit"....
Organizing ... hmmm ... I guess because I've been reading craft magazines for decades (no kidding, mom got them when I was little and I'd pore over them each month and read and re-read directions and ideas) and God gifted me with a good memory ... I just can pull out of my mind craft ideas from previous reads ... not to say I don't miss some ....

The ONLY way to do this is to buy stuff bit by bit, when you see it, be a bit of a packrat and recycle lots of supplies .... this is easier for someone who doesn't move as much as I do (I spend TONS on craft supplies only to "gift" them before leaving our last known address  ) but it truly is the only way.
Growing up, we were in SF in the 70s and most of my teachers were closet hippies so Mom would often be told on Thursday night that one of us needed ... rags, t-shirts, dye, yarn, milk cartons, magazine pictures, driftwood ... seriously! So, she just collected stuff as she saw it and we used it all at one time or another.
Also, you can often substitute to make it a bit different than the original -- for instance the angel craft that many of us did this week could just have easily been done using felt and making a finger puppet (by sewing where the stick goes), using yarn and glitter instead of coloring, increasing the size of it and making a centerpiece out of the original ... etc.
Remember that crafting is supposed to be creative -- so use what you have and don't worry about the craft police (there aren't any  !)

As a past recipient of this gifting, I say again thank you. So find a friend who moves a lot and be there when they need to unload.
But seriously, here is a past thread on Craft Supplies which has ideas for buying craft supplies. I try to just keep a well rounded supply of essentials in the different "categories" I created. I have sticky notes by the computer which I use to write down things I fidn on line that I want to get (supplies, books, etc). Then I stick that on my purse for when we go out. But those often get lost and I'm thinking I need to start a little notebook for this purpose.
And Dawn has a series of posts on her blog a few years ago which had some great ideas for organizing and buying crafts for anyone who hasn't seen those.

Laura,
I think she is talking about the paper & craft stick puppeet angels that were on Ana Braga-Henebry's blog. There is a link in the St. Michael's Feast Day thread. They were featured in the Angels Fair at Catholic Cuisine as well.

I tend to be a take a peek , not follow instructions much at all and come up with my own version .
I tend to like glueing anything and everything because I cannot draw I just finished a forest collage on our living room wall .
My little gnomes and flower people etc. are not like the ones in the berger books at all because , well quite frankly it took far to long ( yes I tend to be impatient ) to make and then my little dols ahnds and feet looked all wierd and I think they fell off
So I just make the pipe cleaner bodies trace that on two pices of felt ans sew em up . Then I turn then into elfy or saints or angel type charaters .
I just finished a grape vine wraeth as I picked grape vine out at the lake . Really the only reason I got inspired was the thought I could get the glue gun out and glue crabapples calendula acorns and the such on it
I think I just like to go with seasonal theme and then if I see something then we go for it .
ds7 is going to make beads from branches next to make his orthodontist a bracelet . The guy has like 15 or so bracelets on his wrists all from kids who have made them . I am far to overwhemled to make a cotton friendship bracelet right now but making wooden beads is a cinch with our dremol then all he need do is string them on leather cord .
Oh and another good tip is don't visit other mums blogs more then once per week
