Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone recommend Net Nanny or Cybersitter type software that will let me allow access ONLY to sites I have pre-approved?

In other words I want to put in a list of web addresses and have everything that it is not on the list blocked.

TIA!

Sara - Not many people have macs - but just in case you do...

We have ours set up to only allowed pre-approved sites to open in our dd's account. You don't need to buy any software. My dh set up Safari to open with mac preferences so that only pre-approved sites can be opened in her account. He set up a few friend's blogs and some favorite online sites that we had looked at and pre-approved for content. The rest is completely blocked. She can't link anywhere from anyone's approved site. All pop-ups are completely blocked. It's the safest option I've been able to find, and we've been very pleased with it. If she needs to do any internet research, we do that together.

So...on the off chance that you might have a mac - which is usually pretty slim...HTH.

Sara, We have CyberPatrol, which you can set up however you like, but I'm not real sure on the details because my husband is the geek around here. He has also created a file on the desktop that contains all of our 'preapproved' websites for the kids, and they can only go online by way of that file. HTH.
