Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm trying to console a colicky baby by walking with her through the room, although I'm only supposed to walk for a couple of minutes every day as I injured my tailbone during delivery .

Know any *quick* working remedies for colick??

I could use some cookies myself

DH was working the night shift again (YAY! Its his last week for this rotation!).

Hm. Cookies? Got any left? What kind were you making? I make a mean chocolate-toffee chip....Maybe I'll make me some brownies tonight...we'll have to see...

MMMMMm

Yum!
I was actually asleep by that time last nite, I went to bed at the early hour of 1:30, but I had been reading a theology book about the Catholic/Orthodox split and my brain was fried by the time I put it down. Too many big, hard words.
My family has been asking for rice crispie treats, and I happen to have all the stuff, so I am going to make them.
I much prefer hot baked cookies!

It's the next day from the start of this thread, but I'm once again up reading all this stuff about Sarah Palin and the pro/con blogs. Why, oh why!!! I'll be payin' a hefty price in the morning!

Does anyone ever feel like we have INFORMATION OVERLOAD and your circuits are about to melt? Sometimes I wish Enquiring Minds just didn't want to know. Maybe I need some chips to settle down......

All the time!

Well, here I sit, still reading the same book while waiting for dh to come home. It is almost midnite. I watched the convention (have never done so before) and played on the forums here and at Sonlight. I guess it must be almost 3am on the East Coast...

Still wishing I can some fresh baked cookies!

At 2 am I was standing on my front porch watching the northern lights flicker and dance overhead. Glorious curtains of glowing green!I am thrilled because it is the first time it's been dark enough at night to really see them well this year. Such a magical sight!

Oh, you lucky duck. The northern lights are one of those "want to see it sometime in my life" kind of things for me. Someday....

overload?!
YES!

I can't count the times I've gone to sleep with my mind all a twitter and feeling like I'm not even asleep and at 2am jerk straight up in the bed, thump dh on the arm, and say, "That's it! I should ....!" and THEN I can find peaceful sleep.    Annoys dh to no end.
Or when I wake up in the morning with the thinking wheels still in motion same as when I fell asleep. I'll fall asleep thinking, "I should get that book at the library ...." and wakeup as though I never went to sleep thinking, "to start a little rabbit trail off the unit study ...." That annoys me to no end. Feels like I never went to sleep!
