You can see a picture of what we found floating in the pool here if I can't figure out how to put it in this post. Any ideas what it is or how we can find out? I am pretty good with using some sites and field guides for birds and flowers, but not bugs. Thanks!

Charlotte - I fixed the picture. You did it right. The image was just too large. It looks like the address you inserted was for the full-sized picture when you uploaded but not the modified address after you selected a smaller size for posting. What I did was take the address from the reduced size that was showing up on the blog. Does that make sense?

Oh and sorry I'm no help with moth identification.

The most bizarre thing is that the kids and I found a moth on 8/27 that I "had" to know what it was. I spent over an hour navigating "bug" sites and couldn't figure it out. Then I went on again just now to see if I could find your moth and the first picture I clicked on was "our" moth! Ceratomia undulosa
