I started at 4. My birthday is in November.

I didn't start my oldest until he was 5, even though his birthday is in November. But, he is working above "grade level" in almost all his subjects, so I could have probably started him sooner.

DH & I decided long ago, though, that we wanted the boys to only be one year apart - since Nate has a May birthday he started at 5.   Nate is firmly where he belongs subject-wise.
