Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We were starting G is for Geography and it talks about making a four square. It looks like there is supposed to be a link but it isn't there. And of course, I have no idea what a four square is Can someone help?
Oh and today is our first day and we are having fun! Again, many thanks for sharing your creativity ladies!

Kirsten, I don't know what one is either. Instead, I just have the kids draw 4 squares on a piece of paper. Each square has to be filled in with a picture of one of the alphabet letters in the book. All four letters are written at the bottom of the page with the explanation of the picture.

I believe it is one of Kim's notebooking pages. You can find them here. The one with four squares is call portfolio text box 6 doc. Here is the direct link. They are all really nice. We use them constantly. This year each child will have a few copies of each page in their own binder.

Elizabeth's kids create four square narrations...they divide their page into four squares and write a narrated fact and draw an illustration in each square. There was a photo album on the sidebar, but I think we might have moved it in our recent remodeling, sorry. This is a good technique for young to middle kids who may not be able to narrate the wealth of information in those books but are quite capable of comprehending it all...this way they can choose a reasonable amount of information to process through narration.
