Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I wanted to let you know that I had a little baby boy Wednesday, August 6th at 9:40 p.m. We named him Miguel Antonio Pro and he weighed 8 lbs 3 oz. and measured 20 inches long (my biggest yet!).

The most amazing thing about it was the way Miguel was
delivered. We left the house at 9:15 p.m and got to the hospital at 9:30. Once I arrived on the LDR floor, the nurse at the desk asked me to put on a hospital gown in the bathroom.

I went to the bathroom, quickly changed, and then felt an urge to go to the bathroom (or so I thought). Before I knew it, my water broke and I started bleeding. I put my hands down to feel what was going on and felt the baby's head right there! I quickly went to the door, opened it, yelled for help in the hope that a nurse would come to help catch the baby but nobody heard me.

I then closed the door, and while standing up I felt the baby coming out. I was able to put one hand on his head and the other around his arm so that he didn't fall on the floor and I could pull him up towards me. Thank God he was O.K.! You can imagine the shock of the nurses and my husband when they heard a baby crying
and then saw me.

I am recovering quite well and am home now. The children all love their new baby brother.

Wow, now there is a labor story!! I have always wished a baby would just fall out, but maybe not so literally!!

Congratulations and God bless little Miguel and his happy family!

That is amazing! I'm so glad God gave you the knowledge at that moment to hold on your baby like that and enough presence of mind to do what you had to do by yourself without freaking out. Congratulations on the birth of Miguel Antonio! Wow!

That's a great story! I almost had a similar delivery but I was home with a midwife and she convinced me not to have the baby on the toilet even though I didn't want to move!

Thanks for sharing!

That's a great story. Congratulations!!!

I had a friend who had her fifth in the entranceway of the hospital. She was screaming at the hospital personnel that the baby was coming but no one believed her. The baby just slipped out and bounced on the pavement. Luckily, all was well.

Oh my what an incredible story, you did so well to keep your cool too. Bet your husband will always tell that story.

Love his name, welcome to the world little Miguel (I know that is big for you but if I had a baby that small I'd be ecstatic!)

KC, your story is too scary at least Isa had some privacy. Although then again it must have been so scary on your own Isa, sounds like God was with you though such presence of mind.
