Just for anyone who is new like me and figuring all this out, i thought i'd share the contents of my first materials order. These materials are for ds 6 who just finished casa and dd who will be two (waaaaaaah) in two weeks.

      Introduction to Decimal Symbols

Geometry and Geography materials will be next, likely in January.

Also ordered - bob books the complete set and Montessori Read & Write (for mamma.)

Manuals - Math, Language and History - Montessori Matters (Mary Motz) from Nienhuis
Phys Geog, Cult Geog, Matter & Astronomy, Zoology & Botany all from NAMC.

Have Karen Tyler's language material but feel utterly overwhelmed by them.

EDITED TO ADD - received the order, on time and almost complete. The items that were supposed to be on backorder (thousand cubes) came, but the pink tower and the square put together tray are backordered. I'm not worried about it, b/c neither of those are integral to the direction we want to start in.

Everything is lovely, really well packaged. Lovely laquered boxes, very beautiful materials. The only idiosyncracy is that the ten bars in the subtraction snake game are a different golden than the balance of the golden beads. The cylinder blocks are gorgeous and (they've already been worked with!!) they are perfect. I'll check the other two tonite and count the beads.

I'm glad i went with adena and got the free shipping to Canada...love the stuff and will definitely order again.
