My friend just called to say that she is pregnant. She is 42, her only child was born 10 years ago and she has had multiple miscarriages since then, over and over. She is terrified right now because she is cramping and bleeding some. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER! For her baby to thrive and grow healthy if that be God's will and for her mental health. Each loss and each passing year has taken it's toll on her.

UPDATE #1
My friend, Liz, has seen the doctor who confirmed that she is pregnant (yeah!), but couldn't find any evidence of a healthy baby via ultrasound (but no evidence confirming the worst either). It doesn't mean that she is miscarrying, it just might be too early to see. With her age and history, the doc is telling her that the statistics only give her a 20% chance of carrying the baby full term. She so wants that 20% chance, but is having a hard time being optimistic. They will know more on Friday when the blood work comes back.
UPDATE #2 PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!!!!!!!
Liz talked to the doc's office today and found out that her progesterone numbers look great (which they never did with the other babies she lost) and that her pregnancy hormone numbers were only at 500 which is why they wouldn't have been able to see anything (apparently they say you can't see the baby until the numbers are around 2000). They did more blood work today and will have the results tomorrow. Please pray that those levels either double or triple. The bigger the number the better the chance of a healthy pregnancy!!!

HER NUMBERS TRIPLED!!!!!!
She is showing all of the signs of a healthy pregnancy!!! Good progesterone, good HCG, no bleeding. She is still having some minor cramping and lots of anxiety. Please pray for the cramping to stop and for the baby to continue to grow. The latest she ever miscarried was at 11 weeks. I don't think she will have any real peace until she passes that point. Thank you in advance for all your prayers!
UPDATE #4
Liz had a sono today. She is 5 1/2 weeks pregnant with a teeny tiny baby. There were no heart tones yet, it's still early, but a nice round sac with a baby the size of a dust bunny. She is still cramping, so please pray for that to stop and for the baby to keep growing strong and healthy. Thank you for all of your prayers! They are helping!
One more update:
My friend Liz had another sono done this week and they saw the baby's heartbeat!!!! Her progesterone looks good and her levels look good. She is starting to let herself get a little hopeful. She hasn't had good news like this since she was pregnant with her daughter 10 years ago. She is 6 weeks right now and has to get to 12 to be "out of the woods". Thank you for your continued prayers!
Monday Sept. 15:
Liz has an appointment today at 11:45AM. She started spotting this morning at 3 am and has continued to bleed and cramp. She is almost certain that she is miscarrying. Please pray for her!
UPDATE:
THE BABY WAVED AT HER!!!!  She just had a sono and the baby is fine. They still don't know what is causing the bleeding or the cramping. Hopefully the doc can tell her that. Please pray for these issues to resolve and not be harmful to Liz or her child. The baby has a good strong heartbeat and looks perfect! She is measuring just as big as she should be for 9 weeks old. Thank you for your prayers! Keep 'em coming!!!
